Baby Steps

baby-steps-approach-150x150 Author's Blog Good Monday Morning! I continue to feel joyful in the Lord and embrace life as it has been given to me. Last week was productive. I’m stepping gently into the new year.

First and foremost, Snowed by the Wallflower got its final edit, was formatted for publishing, and uploaded to Kindle Publishing and Draft 2 Digital for both print and ebook. It had been a while since I self-published a book and the amount of time and effort has me leaning strongly against doing the work of republishing my Soul Mate books myself. It is time I could be using to write new material.

I reviewed all seven of the books** I need to republish and listed which had epilogues and which did not. A new edition requires new content. New epilogues will enable me to link them one after another and reference other books. This week I hope to write that up as a proposal.

I gathered two print books and signed them, packaged them up with some swag (including, of course, a Warfield owl), and got the box ready to mail to a winner from my stint at The Tea Room anniversary.

Reminded that it isn’t enough to publish a book, one has to get the word out, I turned to my friends for help. Between the Bluestocking Belles and the indomitable Dee Foster, I am booked in a dozen social media sites, am tucked into some Bookfunnel promos, and am prepared for newsletter swaps.

Here’s a secret. (Shhhh….) The title will be Love’s Perilous Road. We are busy on our first drafts now—yes even me! It won’t be out until October, but we hope to have  it up for preorder well in advance.

January is almost half over and the second half looks to be super busy. I’m on it, but first, coffee!

**The books are Dangerous Works, Dangerous Weakness, Dangerous Secrets, The Renegade Wife, The Reluctant Wife, The Unexpected Wife and possibly A Dangerous Nativity.
