Did you know that Jane Austen’s Persuasion was originally published in a four volume set that included Northanger Abbey? In fact Northanger got top billing. It came out in December 1817, six months after her death. (and yes, the title page says 1818)

Persuasion is by far my favorite of her books. One of my favorite complements came from a reader who told me Dangerous Works reminded her of Persuasion.
