On Friday The Defiant Daughter, lightly rewritten went to beta readers. Saturday dawned wet and very cold, and I lacked motivation to plunge into writing The Forgotten Daughter (though the first two scenes are in my head) nor to continue working on The Value of Pity. Early in the day, however, my daughter pointed me to Angelique Kidjoe singing Pata Pata. When I began to dance (and it forces you to get up and dance) I remembered that JOY is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit, and decided to give myself the long weekend off to read, dance, laugh, and just live in that joy.
I’ll get to writing the next book and promoting the new ones tomorrow. Today? It’s my birthday! But first? Coffee.
