Pie! After a quietly joyful Easter, with virtual worship and some encouraging moments, I woke up to the last of yesterday’s cherry pie for desert, Beloved’s company, and good work to do. I also had a concrete favor I could do for one of my children–in times when feelings of helplessness lurk around the corner that is a true boon.
weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)
But there’s more! My table is cheerful. We thought we’d failed to locate Easter goodies and were making due with the pie, but my son-in-law appeared on Easter afternoon with the famous gold bunny! I don’t want to eat him, I just want him to bring a little seasonal sparkle to our table. I would bring in a few of the remaining daffodils but it is raining, as April does.
Alas! But the sound of rain on the roof is soothing, my work in progress calls, and I just got a brilliant idea for Friday’s History Imagined Post. I need to promote Music on the Waters, too. At 99cents, everyone should buy copy! Life is good. But first, coffee.
