Ok so my table won’t look like the one pictured. I won’t use paper plates and napkins with turkeys on them either. Seventeen pounds of turkey are in my refrigerator section defrosting and I have enough cranberries piled up to get us through to Easter. Various dishes have been assigned to various relatives. Bring it on! I’m feeling pretty joyful because people I love are coming. That’s the most essential ingredient in any celebration, no?
On another note, bags of canned goods for the food pantry are packaged for delivery to church. Cards have been sent to the shut-ins. The Grandbuddy will be here all afternoon and tomorrow morning and then he and his Mom are off all week. Life is good.
To those of you in the U.S. who celebrate Thanksgiving this week, I wish a happy one. To my friends near and far across the spinning earth I wish abundance and a chance to be grateful for all your blessings every day and not just once a year.
God bless one and all!
